For the third consecutive year, a surveyor from commercial property agency, Prop-Search has been recognised as Northamptonshire's most active agent in a prestigious national competition.
Samantha Jones has again been crowned ‘Deal Maker' of the year by Estates Gazette Interactive (EGi), a national publication and ‘industry bible', after completing the highest number of commercial property transactions in the County. She also scooped this accolade last year, whilst Director Chris Billson held the title in 2011.
Commenting on the award, Samantha said: “I am thrilled to have retained my position as Northamptonshire most active agent which is really a win for all the team at Prop-Search. We all have long established relationships with property owners and tenants, and feel that our experience and knowledge of the local marketplace is again proven through this acknowledgment.”
Prop-Search also picked up the company award for being to most active commercial agency in the County.
Director Simon Toseland added: “This double success is due to hard work rather than any significant upturn in the fortunes of the commercial property sector. It is still tough out there and these awards come as a result of determination and professionalism. Ironically, we are now faced with a shortage of stock and need to replenish our ‘shelves' if we are to be as successful again next year.”
The EGI research team collected information about the number of deals transacted by each agent over a 12 month period from April 2012. This was across all sectors of the market – office, industrial, retail and leisure.
During the last 12 months, Prop-Search undergone a sustained period of growth, even during the economic difficulties of the past few years, and opened a further office in Northampton with the appointment of Ian Harman and Richard Baker as Directors. The new office compliments Prop-Search's existing branches in Wellingborough and Milton Keynes, and played a key role in contributing to this year's award.
