With its roots firmly embedded in the County, Belgrade Insulations has finally made the move to relocate from its original Northamptonshire site - where the company was founded in 1976 - to new HQ premises in Northampton.
The company, a respected specialist distributor of insulation and drywall systems, has acquired a 23,124 sq ft detached HQ industrial warehouse facility within the award-winning Brackmills Trade Park.
Unit 14 comprises a 23,124 sq ft facility that was developed approximately three years ago through funding by M&G Real Estate and constructed to a high energy efficiency standard, achieving an Energy Performance Certification rating of A. It boasts features including an 8m eaves height, two level-access loading doors, two-storey office and ancillary areas - situated within a self-contained and secure yard area.
Richard Baker, a Director of Northamptonshire letting agent Prop-Search, acting jointly with Avison Young, said: “Brackmills Trade Park - a 65,200 sq ft trade counter, retail and industrial/warehouse scheme - has again achieved 100% occupancy. It is already home to a wide array of national occupiers including Screwfix, Pizza Hut, Auto Windscreens, Subway, Easy Bathrooms, Greggs, Dulux Decorator Centre, Howdens, Topps Tiles, Digraph Transport Supplies, National Windscreens and Costa.”
He added: “I am delighted to have got this unit let for M&G and it was good to work with Andrew Steel from Michael Steel & Co who acted on behalf of Belgrade Insulation.”
Belgrade Insulations has expanded over the years at its original Wellingborough site, which was also the location of sister company Belgrade Polymer Products; a specialist plastics moulding business with vacuum forming, extrusion and injection moulding capability. Since the company’s acquisition in 2010, the new management team has further grown the company resulting in its need to relocate to new larger and more modern premises in Northamptonshire that complement the opening of five new distribution centres in Leeds, Birmingham, Glasgow, London and Portsmouth that cover the structural and technical insulation markets.
Belgrade services a wide range of markets in addition to traditional Building Insulation and these include technical Insulation and HEVAC applications, the specialist roofing market, fire protection, building envelope solutions, offsite construction and modular build.
