My family has a long history in the restaurant trade and the name is derived from, and in honour of my parents who opened the first family restaurant ‘AJ's Diner' in Aberdare in the late 1980's.”
He adds: “We have recently launched a Breakfast Challenge, known as the B52 Breakfast Bomber. This comprises of a plate of 52 items which must be consumed within 26 minutes - win and the food is free, lose and your wallet will be £21.50 lighter. A few brave souls have tried this challenge but as yet no-one has beaten the B52 and made it onto the wall of fame.”
AJ's Diner is currently ranked as Wellingborough's No 1 eatery on TripAdvisor and is open until 17:00 everyday, trading until 22:00 on Friday and Saturday evenings. There also is a garden and patio area, free juke box and wi-fi.
Letting agent for the Leyland Trading Estate, Prop-Search reports that occupancy within the Estate is currently at over 90%. A few units in sizes of 1,050 sq ft and 2,100 sq ft are immediately available on flexible lease terms, with occupation possible in less than two weeks.
