Muscial talent is hot property for local charity

The combined musical talents of some familiar Northamptonshire property consultants have raised in excess of £7,500 for The Cynthia Spencer and Cransley Hospices, at a major rock, pop and blues event.

Now in its second year, ‘A Second Later’, loosely based on Jools Holland’s BBC show, Later was recently held at Hangar One, Sywell Aerodrome.   The event was hosted by the former Business Times publisher Alan Spooner and introduced three local bands, all featuring prominent names from the county’s commercial property sector.

Simon Toseland, founding Director of Prop-Search was on keyboards and providing backing vocals for this three-piece band Iniquity; Peter Castle, Managing Director of Hadland Chartered Surveyors plays drums with Thre3e; and Nicholas Roberts, a Partner at Drake Commercial is also a drummer and performs with The Domino Effect, a seven-piece band which plays a mix of original and rock covers.

A cheque for £7,573.00 was recently presented to Cynthia Spencer, Community Fundraiser Sue Bownass.  The Cynthia Spencer Hospice provides specialist palliative care services for South Northamptonshire, whilst its sister hospice, Cransley Hospice, provides similar services to the North of the county.

A Second Later was presented by Northampton company ACS and sponsored by other Northamptonshire businesses including Promote-It, Shire Security, Stanair, Midshires Electrical and Dalepak.
