Prodrive - one of the world’s largest motorsport and technology businesses - has now instructed Prop-Search and White Commercial to dispose of the former Hella building at Noral Way in Banbury.
The detached property is located just off the A423 Southam Road, highly visible and with easy access to the M40 motorway at Junction 11. It offers 186,950 sq ft of production/distribution accommodation, incorporating well specified integral offices and staff facilities, as well as an external plant room. Other features include an eight metre eaves height, sprinkler system, covered loading area and security gatehouse.
Expansion prospects for any company acquiring the freehold facility - which has an asking price of £9 million - are extensive. The property stands within a secure site of some 25 acres and includes substantial car parking and further expansion land.

The area around the Hella building is fast becoming a new hub for distribution occupiers. On an adjacent site - formerly the single largest production centre of aircraft aluminium during the Second World War - a 235,000 sq ft shed has already been constructed. This is now home to the toy firm, The Entertainer, which has more than 100 across the UK including one in Banbury. First Industrial Developments have added to this with the speculative development of two further distribution facilities of 111,000 sq ft and 170,000 sq ft - due for completion spring 2016.
